How did you choose Nala's adopter?

Every cat that comes through our doors is special, and Nala is no different. We chose the adopter that is the best fit for Nala.

When did Nala visit Sip & Purr?

After 8 weeks of fostering, Nala was 100% healthy, happy, and ready for adoption. This means Nala was spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on necessary vaccinations and medical tests. April 2019 Nala moved from her foster home to her forever home in St. Louis, MO after making a stop at Sip & Purr.

Did Nala greet Sip & Purr guests before she was adopted?

YES! April 2019 Nala greeted almost 100 guests at a sold-out meet & greet event.  It was apparent Nala captured the hearts of many Sip & Purr followers.  Stay tuned on our social media pages for more exciting information! We’re on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

How was Nala's trip to the U.S. funded?

In Nala’s case, her travel and accommodations were completely funded by Katy. For the other 30 cats we have rescued from Doha, Qatar, help from two non-profit organizations have assisted with vet services, travel costs, and rescue.

Sip and Purr works with Evenstar Charitable Organisation and Paws Rescue Qatar to help arrange transport, care, and housing for rescued cats from Doha, Qatar.

How can I help cats like Nala?

The easiest way to help on a large scale is to spay or neuter your pet(s). Every year thousands of cats and kittens end up unwanted and without caring homes.

Other ways to help are to foster, volunteer, advocate, and donate whether it's for a cause here in Wisconsin or half-way around the world. Every cat deserves a chance to have a loving home, no matter where they are from.

Which breed of cat is Nala?

We believe that the personality of any cat is more important than their pedigree when determining a forever fit. Nala was found abandoned in a pet store with no mother or siblings in sight. That being said, it’s possible that Nala is a Persian mix, but there’s no way to be certain.

Thank you for your continued support of Sip & Purr. Because of you, we’re able to save hundreds of homeless cats!
